About Us – Meet the Family Behind WP Metal Fab & Fence
The Hollands
At WP Metal Fab and Fence, we believe in doing honest work for honest people — and that starts with family. We’re Fred and Ashley Holland, proud owners of WP Metal Fab and Fence, based in Gatesville, Texas and serving communities across Central Texas. We’ve been married for nearly 19 years and are raising two amazing kids: Willow (18) and Punch (15).
A Welder with Real-World Experience
Fred graduated from Tulsa Welding School in 2001 and brings over 20 years of hands-on welding experience to the business. From fabrication and structural welding to mobile repairs and ranch-ready equipment fixes, he’s built a reputation on quality, reliability, and showing up when people need him.
Growing up farming and ranching, Fred understands the kind of work our customers do — and what it takes to keep operations running smoothly. Whether he’s welding in the shop or repairing heavy equipment out in the field, he’s committed to doing the job right the first time.
Fred’s son, Punch, is now full-time in the family business, learning the craft side-by-side with his dad. Fred is passing on decades of experience and hands-on know-how to ensure the quality and dependability customers rely on continues for the next generation.
Family Owned. Central Texas Proud.
WP Metal Fab and Fence has been family owned and operated for 6 years, and we’re proud to serve our neighbors across Gatesville, Lampasas, Burnet, Stephenville, Hillsboro, and beyond.
From custom fabrication to metal buildings, fencing, and mobile welding for emergency repairs, we bring skill, experience, and strong Texas values to every job.
More Than a Business — It’s a Way of Life
Ashley brings her own experience and dedication to the business. After 10 years as a dental assistant, she’s spent the last 8 years working for the County as a paralegal — balancing professionalism, detail, and care in all that she does — She's the glue that holds WP Metal Fab and Fence together!
Outside of work, we enjoy fishing and camping at the lake and Port O’Connor, checking cows, catching outdoor concerts, and working on projects at home. Whether we’re helping a neighbor fix a busted gate or spending time with family and friends, we believe in putting in the effort and taking pride in what we build — both in our business and our lives. We'd be honored to put our family to work for you!
Established in 2019. A New Name and Expanded Vision in 2026.
As our family-owned business grew, so did its services. Metal buildings, pipe and field fencing, cattle pens, gates and entrances, and custom fabrication became an increasingly important part of the work.
In August 2026, WP Welding became WP Metal Fab & Fence, a name that better represents everything our company offers. While the name has changed, the ownership, experience, and commitment to quality remain the same. Today, WP Metal Fab & Fence serves agricultural, residential, and commercial customers throughout Central Texas with metal buildings, fencing, fabrication, and both shop and mobile welding services.
We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and the people who keep it running — from ranchers and contractors to homeowners and small business owners. If you’re looking for a welder who works hard, shows up, and treats your project like it matters, give WP Metal Fab and Fence a call.
